Asheville North Carolina

It is now Wednesday May 9th. We left Asheville this morning after three very nice days. The weather basically held off with the rain coming only in the night. We visited the Biltmore House on the second day. It is a little summer place build by George Vanderbilt in the late 1800's. Very unique and very beautifully restored. The first day we toured the house and the beautiful gardens. On the second day we went to the winery and the shops surrounding it. We had visited here in the 80's and it is totally amazing the beautiful work they have done in the 25 years since we have been here. The City of Asheville has many nice restaurants and shops which we really didn't have time to visit. (Next trip).

This morning we left Asheville in the rain and drove to Sevierville, Tn. We have been to this area many times and, except for the real honky tonk, we enjoy all it has to offer. Today it was raining so we were forced to go to the Bass Pro store and walk around. There is also a knife store here that blows your mind. 1000's of knives and other stuff. Amazing three story building full of knives, kitchen stuff, and lots more. I actually spent less than thirty bucks.

Tomorrow we head over to Smokey Mtn. National Park to polk around. The weather is supposed to get better.

The pics are the Biltmore, outside only, and the gardens. The two Happy Campers are a young looking girl and here husband without his mustache for the first time in forty years. Lips look too small it's growing back already.
