We left Missoula on August 1st and headed for Cody Wyoming. We had a one day stop in Big Timber Mt. I had been concerned about this stop because it appeared to be out in the middle of no where. This campground was indeed out in the country but it was a cool place. It was an old campground that has been upgraded a little and it had a trout hatchery right in the campground.
Our site was a grass pull thru right on one of the trout ponds. They also had a pond which was catch and keep. For a fee you caught your fish (Rainbow Trout) then you paid by the length. It was fishing in a barrel so to speak but I landed two nice 14in. rainbows that became the next nights dinner.
This was a quiet, pretty place out of the mainstream. The people were also very nice. The guy that helped with the fish was from the great state of Pennsylvania. Obviously a nice guy.
It was a good overnight. I even got a fishing pole into Eileen's hand and she made a number of very impressive casts. No fish though. I wish I had taken that picture.
Life is Goooood!!

Our site in Spring Creek RV. The pond to the right is full of Rainbow trout. The white sign says no fishing.
