Bryce Canyon (10/2-10/5)

On Friday 10/2 we departed Virgin Utah and headed the long way around to Bryce Canyon. Two years ago I thought I had said goodbye to Bryce for the last time. Not the case. This is by far one of the most beautiful NP's in this country and I love just looking down into the HooDoo's as well as enjoying the beautiful vista's.

It's also an easy park to see because many of the vistas are right along the main road. The best way to see the park is to drive straight in to the end to Rainbow point and work your way back stopping at the pull offs along the way. I think the best views are: Rainbow Point, Natural Bridge, Inspiration Point, Bryce Point, Sunset Point and Sunrise Point, but many of the other pull offs offer magnificent views.

There are a number of great hikes down into the Hoo Doo's (spires of beautiful rock), ATV tours, horseback rides into the valleys and much more. We went into the park on Saturday and Sunday which is by far the worse days to visit any of the NP's. (Crowds) It was a great visit and very nice, once again, to take in the beauty of this place.

Ruby's Campground is also one of my favorites. Beautiful big sites, nice store, restaurants, and all the amenities you need. We had sites near the rear of the campground and enjoyed a nice fire on Saturday night.

Monday morning we hooked up, said goodbye to Carol and Skip and headed for Sedona. Carol and Skip were heading to Lake Powell and on to the Durango Area. I think I will probably be back here again someday it's just to beautiful to stay away. Pictures don't do justice to this beautiful place!
