Cuyahoga Valley National Park (8/1-8/2)

On Augut 1st we left Wentlings Corners and moved on to Streetsboro, Ohio which is close to the only NP in Ohio. On August 2, we had reservations on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. The railroad is the main attraction at this park. The train ride was nice but not super nice and some of the regular track is closed because of a washout.

This park is different than any other park we have been in. It is in the middle of a semi metropolitan area and high percentage of the park has homes, towns, restaurants etc. There are a number of hiking trails and several waterfalls along the Cuyahoga river. After the train ride we visited Brandywine Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. The flowers were very pretty and the time at the park calming.

Today we boogied to Holly Michigan for one night. We are in a County Park campground that is very well kept and spacious. A Good choice. Tomorrow we head to Traverse City, MI for three nights. Eileen has been suffering from back pain so we plan on going to a Urgent Med place tomorrow. Hopefully she can get some relief or, at a minimum, some answers. We have been here a few times and know several good restaurants. This is one of the Cherry capitals of the USA so some pie is in my future. I am having problems posting the photos I have taken. I'll be working on a solution for posting pictures while we are in Traverse City. Talk soon.

Train Ride. Very relaxing for old people!

We had pigs in this Campground!

Brandywine Falls!
